For Boston

We all know about the extreme tragedy that struck Boston yesterday. My heart hurts for the city, the victims, and their families.
In order to set the mood for this post, please play this song. It’s my favorite Boston song.
Sweet Caroline by Neil Diamond on Grooveshark
Boston is a special place for my family. As some of y’all may know, Greg was born and raised in a small town west of Boston. I actually met Greg up in Massachusetts in his home town, where my friend married his childhood friend. His parents still lived up there until the summer of 2010. They currently live in Texas three hours away from us, however, Greg’s heart is in Massachusetts. Although he doesn’t have much family left up there, we try to make it up there at least once a year to see childhood friends.

I love Boston.

Today I wanted to share some of my favorite pictures from our trips up there. I wanted to honor this town for the amazing place that it is.

Boston, you’re in my prayers, along with everyone involved in yesterday’s tragedy. My heart goes out to you.

So cool to read about your connection with Boston. It’s my favorite city on Earth. So saddened by yesterday’s events. Sending so many thoughts & prayers to Boston and all those affected by the tragedies.

I love this post. Boston holds a special place in my heart as well. I’ve been five times to watch my husband run the Marathon, and every visit has been special in some way. There’s something about that city that always brings you back and makes you miss it when you’re not there!

It’s strange for me to say that I love seeing all the Boston posts. It just makes my heart warm in the wake of tragedy to see everyone spill love for a city and it’s people.

I love this song and I love that you chose to blog about what Boston means to you. Very sweet! I started crying while watching the news on the treadmill at the gym. I just feel so sad for everyone and it’s so scary that this can keep happening!

Great post. I also love Boston. I spent 3 years there in law school and it’s a city that has always been in my heart since…and it breaks my heart to see what Boston is going through.

Great post, Meg. It’s surreal to see a terror attack in my hometown. It breaks my heart – but I know that we can and will be stronger because of it.
