Beauty Monthly Beauty Favorites

June 2013 Beauty Favorites

Say what??? It’s July??? You have got to be kidding me. I need this summer to last forever. But since we’re at the beginning of a new month, that means it’s time for my monthly beauty favorites! I know the previous post was some of my favorite summertime beauty essentials, but a lot of those were products that I’ve talked about before! And I just look forward to these posts. This particular month I have found so many holy grail worthy items!

TOO FACED CHOCOLATE SOLEIL BRONZER
This bronzer has been on my wish list for over a year, and I have no idea what took me so long to get it! It is seriously amazing. Potential HG bronzer. No joke. I love that it’s matte (matte bronzer is the absolute best!), and it smells like chocolate! This was featured in my vlog with Kennedy, so check it out for more details!
REAL TECHNIQUES SETTING BRUSH
I love this line of brushes (you can get them at Ulta) by Samantha Chapman, and this brush is so unique! Like no other brush I have in my collection, so obviously I needed it. It’s bigger than my Sigma E40 (MAC 224) brush but smaller than my other face brushes. I love to set my undereye concealer with it, or sometimes I will highlight with it.
REMINGTON TISTUDIO SILK CERAMIC CURLING WAND (WIDE)
I have another Remington curling wand, but it’s the smaller width. I felt like a lot of times when I used it, the curls were a little too tight. I was looking for something that gave looser waves, and I got this at Target. I love it!! It is exactly what I was looking for in a curling wand, giving nice, loose waves.
YVES SAINT LAURENT ROUGE VOLUPTE SHINE IN NUDE IN PRIVATE
Yep, this is my holy grail lipstick, y’all. I own this in another shade, in Pink Devotion, and holy moly is it seriously beautiful. I played around with the idea of getting another for a while and after purchasing some other lip products, I went back and got a more universal shade. This is seriously THE BEST nude shine lipstick I have ever worn. I know it’s expensive, so save it for one of those days when you want to treat yourself (or you get a gift card, which is what happened with me). This is a pamper product, but it is also so holy grail. Not to mention the packaging is so pretty. Nudes are so finicky on my lips for some reason, but this is perfect. Okay, I will stop the ranting.
SALON GRAFIX CLEANSING CONDITIONER
I have been wanting to try a cleansing conditioner for a while now, but I don’t really like to spend a lot of money on shampoos/conditioners. I got a coupon to use for one from this brand, and it was advertised to perform similar to Wen. I bought it at my local Kroger, and I have also seen it at Walgreens and Target. I bought the melon mint one. I wasn’t sure how I would like this, but I have seriously loved it! It isn’t too heavy, but it really does a great job cleaning and leaving my hair so super soft. I have never gone back and re-purchased shampoo (I always am trying different ones), but as soon as I ran out and got the madacamia scent! Well, actually, I tried the Ren brand, and it was horrible (don’t bother with it, people), so I returned it and went out and got the Salon Grafix one again. My hair is looking and feeling great. I slather it on, massage my roots, and then just let it sit for the rest of my shower, and then rinse at the end. Sometimes I even put about a half pump in as leave-in conditioner. I have loved just having one product for these uses. I think I may have jumped on the cleansing conditioner train and I am not planning on leaving for a while.
What are you loving lately? Give me all of your beauty must-haves so I can add it to my ever growing wish list!

I love these posts, I always find new products. Good to know there’s an alternative when my Wen runs out. Now about that playdate….?

I’m really curious about the conditioner. I stopped using it and started using some oil stuff instead, but a cleansing conditioner sounds interesting. I just need something to tame my mop during the summer. Like a electric razor.
