Meg O. Beauty Awards: Best Makeup of 2013!

Oh, hi there! Remember me? I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas with your families and loved ones. I know we sure did over here at the O. household. Kennedy’s birthday party (recap post coming soon!) and Christmas totally kept me busy the last week and a half. I feel if I were to take a break, this time was probably the best! Anyway, I am back with a doozie. My Meg O. Beauty Awards! This particular edition is all about the best makeup of 2013!

Meg O. Beauty Awards - Best Makeup of 2013

For this year, I really wanted to do videos with my favorites, as I felt it could really illustrate my love for these products and not make for a super long post with tons of typos as I stay up ’til the wee hours of the morning writing (not that I’ve done that before or anything). Now, please bear with me as I continue to learn this whole YouTube thing. One goal I have is to increase the quality of my videos that I post, so if anyone wants to throw a Canon T3i my way, I’ll gladly take it. Or maybe you want to sell me your old one? Unfortunately my old Canon EOS DSLR doesn’t take video. It’s real old. But that’s neither here nor there. Let’s get to the good stuff, shall we?

Meg O. Beauty Awards - Best Makeup of 2013

I really wanted to keep this video as to-the-point and short as I could, and I kept the categories as simple as possible. If you want to check out my best in beauty from last year, here’s my face post, and my eyes/lips post. And now that I’m looking at those posts, I think I left a few categories out of my video. Oh well. Anyway, here’s the video!

Hope you enjoyed and found some things to add to your beauty wish lists. Next up: Hair, Skincare, Misc Items and Tools! Would you like to see that? If you don’t care about that, let me know so I don’t spend time filming and editing that one. Because, you know, I plan on doing that today. I am a fly by the seat of my pants kind of blogger. But anyway, hope you enjoyed my first edition. What are some of your all-time favorite products of 2013? Tell me everything because, obviously, I need to know.

Cheers to 2013 makeup!

I just got the NARS Eye Paint (which I think is like the ELF cream liner)? But I love it. However it was $25! So… when I am due for more.. will definitely get the ELF instead. lol. Also… not a fan of the Rocket mascara… I prefer the Maybelline Plush or whatever it’s called!

Yay! Love your videos. A possible tutorial idea…how to pick the right colors for your skin tone, or picking eyeshadows to combine in a look. I always stick to the same, boring colors time and again in eyeshadow and blush. I’d like to branch out but I don’t know where to start. I want to be bolder in 2014!

I saw that they sell the Lorac Pro Palette today at Kohls and remembered you saying something about it! I think I’m going to go back tomorrow and buy it. Now I just need you to show me how to use it 🙂 haha
