My beautiful Christmas angel is two years old today!
It’s amazing to think two years have already passed since Kennedy came into this world. The moment I saw her, Greg and I both sang “Happy Birthday” to her. I can only hope and pray that I will get to sing it to her every additional year we are on this earth together. It’s hard to believe that I don’t have a baby anymore. She’s a little girl.
This little girl, who stole our hearts two years ago, continues to steal it on a daily basis with her multitudes of smiles and giggles. Or with how many times she can sing “Frosty the Snowman” at the top of her lungs instead of taking a nap. Or how she has never met a sugary treat she didn’t care for.
Speaking of which, it did take a handful of M&Ms to bribe this one to stand in front of the camera for me. Hence the red tooth smile above. What can I say? This kid loves her “EMs.” Oh, and, Kennedy is wearing the same little dress I got for her first birthday party last year. Just look at this comparison below from last year to this year, and if your heart doesn’t melt, we can’t be friends.
Dear Kennedy,
You have grown so much in such a short time. I’ve said it probably at least once a month for the last two years: time flies too fast. You no longer are a small, little baby. You are a blossoming little girl with a heart of gold and the sweetest smile that could melt the coldest of ice. Every day you amaze me with how much you already have learned and continue to learn. I love your little hands. I love your kisses and hugs. When you say “I love you, Mama,” it makes everything wrong, right. Christmas will always be extra special because of you. Thank you for always keeping me grounded and constantly giving me reminders of what really matters. I can’t wait to celebrate more birthdays with you, even if I don’t get to choose the theme of the parties anymore. Happy birthday, my sweet Christmas angel. My little…girl.
Love,
Mama
One last thing, I am also posting over at Houston Moms Blog today with my story of How I Became a Mother! Perfect way to commemorate Kennedy’s birthday. Go give it a read and let me know what you think.
