Perfect Spring Lip Colors

This ain’t no April Fools – it’s a beauty post! About time, right?! Just because I’ve been sporting yoga pants and t-shirts in my preggo posts lately doesn’t mean I’m still not beauty obsessed. Definitely can’t take the beauty obsession out of me.

Can't wait to try a bright shade this spring!

Down here in Texas, we have two seasons: hot and hotter. However, we were feeling a little bit of the arctic chill (why was it in the 30s in March?!) and has made me crave warm temperatures. We’re just starting to get that warm air and I am oh so happy! One thing I love about spring is the light and bright colors. I look forward to busting out all of my happy-colored lip products and rotating through them like it’s my job. So, just because I’m sooooooo nice, I’ve compiled my list of perfect spring lip colors!

Here’s my current rotation:

Perfect Spring Lip Colors

1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5

Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter in ‘Sorbet’ – A bright pink lip butter, but can definitely be sheered out. Very moisturizing but doesn’t fade super easily. I would definitely recommend this for anyone who wants to experiment with a bright lip color but wants to go gradual.

NYX Butter Gloss in ‘Peaches and Cream’ – The NYX Butter Glosses are awesome. They pack quite a punch in color, but also look great on top of a lipstick. The ‘Peaches and Cream’ shade is a perfect peachy coral-y. I definitely recommend this for someone who loves lip gloss but wants to add something brighter to the rotation.

Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter in ‘Tutti Frutti’ – This is much like the Revlon Lip Butter in ‘Sorbet’, but I believe this one can be sheered out even more. It may be a little off putting to see an orange lip product

Lime Crime Lipstick in ‘Geradium’ – I was lusting over all of the Lime Crime lipsticks for a while. They are just so unique and the packaging is adorable (I mean, it’s a dang sparkly unicorn, for goodness sake). I bought ‘Geradium’ thinking it would be a good first one, and I’ve been so pleased. It’s an opaque matte pinky-coral color. It’s super bright and electric. Not for bright lip beginners, but oh goodness, do I love it!

Mac Lipstick in ‘Creme Cup’ – I had to throw a neutral in here, obviously. Creme Cup is a great color to wear alone or pair with gloss. It’s a light nude pink and looks good on every skin tone. Very perfect for spring because of the pink tone to this. I honestly think that if you are going to start a Mac lipstick collection, this needs to be a staple!

What has been in your lip rotation lately? Do tell!

I bought “juicy papaya” in the Revlon Lip Butter. I love the way it feels on, but it’s pretty sheer. I treat it more like a balm than a lipstick. Great for the weekends. I have a pile of mac containers I’ve been carrying around until I have enough to “recycle.” I’ll have to take a look at that color for my free lipstick!

I’m going to use this post for sure because I’ve had a brighter spring color on my wishlist 🙂 I love the Revlon lip butters so I’ll have to check one of those out for sure.

I bought Lollipop (I think) in Revlon Lip Butter and I am in LOVE. It’s like a bright fuchsia pink and I never thought I would be able to pull it off, but even if I look crazy, I’m gonna fake it till I make it 🙂

Love your graphic…the scribbling with your lipsticks looks super cute. 🙂 I’ve tried the revlon before and it’s my favorite drugstore line of sheer lipsticks! I’ll have to give the NYX a try too since you say it has a little more punch.
    Take care!
