What does “all day beauty” mean to you? For me, it’s something that is simple, easy, and long-wearing. Something that is a go-to look because I know it will always look good. With that being said, I’ve got an awesome makeup tutorial for you today!

For this post, Neutrogena invited me to create an original beauty tutorial that is inspired by one of Hayden Panettiere’s All Day Beauty Looks. Those include Night Out, On Set, and Day Off. I was most inspired by the Night Out look and thought I could create something simple, yet long wearing for my upcoming girls’ night with my friends!

Before I got started on the tutorial, I made sure to head out to Target to pick up my beautification supplies. Helpful hint: there’s an awesome 10% off coupon right now for Neutrogena products using the Cartwheel app! If you don’t have the app on your phone, download it immediately, because it is awesome. There is also a Target Beauty Concierge Event coming up! Event begins August 24th with limited quantities available. Be sure to check with your local Target store for Beauty Concierge day and times.

Here’s where my inspiration began for this makeup tutorial.

To be honest, I combined all three of Hayden’s looks into something that I felt encompassed how I would wear the Neutrogena products. This tutorial focuses around creating simple neutral smoky eye using a liner, a flawless face that won’t budge, and juicy lips that can easily be reapplied on the go! You really don’t need a lot of products, palettes, and tools to recreate this look. To see how I created my look, just keep on scrolling.

Neutrogena #AllDayLook TutorialSTEP 1:

Hello, crazy bare face. I know…. #scary. Apply Neutrogena Healthy Skin Liquid Makeup all over the face using whatever your heart desires (fingers, sponge, brush). I enjoy using my Beauty Blender for this because it gives even coverage while also keeping it very natural. I’ve actually been wanting to try this foundation for a while, and I really like how it gives medium coverage but also has a very natural finish.

To make sure that everything stays in place all day, apply the Shine Control Powder. I do this with a big fluffy brush after I’ve applied a bit of concealer. This powder is translucent and I really think it does a great job at setting foundation! I was really impressed.

Neutrogena #AllDayLook TutorialStep 3:

After a bit of bronzer, blush, and brows, grab your Nourishing Eyeliner. We’re about to use this as our main eye color and eyeliner! Line the upper lash line, and then start drawing a thick line up into the outer corner and crease. It doesn’t have to be perfect. I have this liner in the color ‘Spiced Chocolate’ and it’s a rich, brown color with a slight bit of gold sparkle. Totally not too much, though. Y’all know I can’t handle too much glitter.

Neutrogena #AllDayLook TutorialStep 4:

Blend out the Nourishing Eyeliner with either a tapered blending brush you have on hand, or the smudger on the other end of the eyeliner. The key is just blending it all out! After it looks a little smoky, take a neutral/gold eyeshadow and place it all over the lid.

Neutrogena #AllDayLook TutorialStep 5:

Apply a light/champagne eyeshadow as a highlight to the brow bone, and the blend everything out with a big fluffy brush. This will make our look very smoky but not over the top. Then line the lower lash line, and waterline if you want.

Neutrogena #AllDayLook TutorialStep 6:

Apply 2-3 coats of the Healthy Volume Mascara (I have the waterproof version). This mascara really amps it up and will take your eye look to the next level. I have really enjoyed using this!

neutrogena-tutorial-07Step 7:

Apply your MoistureSmooth Color Stick all over the lips. This is pretty fool-proof. Then throw it in your purse so you can reapply throughout the evening! I have this in the color ‘Juicy Watermelon’ and it’s a lovely cool-toned pink with a subtle hint of sheen. It’s very moisturizing and comfortable to wear on the lips!

And here’s my end result! Made up, but simple and neutral! Thanks to that Shine Control powder, I know it’s not going to budge! And, of course, what’s the point of doing this all for a girls night without a girls night picture?

If only I would’ve looked camera like everyone else. I ate an entire piece of cheesecake by myself so maybe I was in a sugar coma.

Thank you, Neutrogena, for letting me play and create a super fun makeup look!

As far as putting the eyeliner in the crease, you’re the only “real” person (like not a celebrity makeup artist) I’ve seen do that, so you may have inspired me to give it a shot! It looks great! 🙂

It’s really a great way to create a smoky eye! As long as you’re using something that’s creamy and blendable, it will work fabulously! 🙂

Meg, you are GORGEOUS!!! I love how neutral this look is – but it’s still so different from my everyday makeup routine. And yes – what Jill said! I’m TOTALLY going to try that now!

So pretty! What do you use for your eyebrows? I’m always scared to fill mine in, but the older I get, the more I think I could use it. 🙂
