Am I on a roll with these maternity “fashion” posts, or what? We are totally using the term “fashion” very loosely, as I’m literally wearing jeans and a t-shirt here. These ASOS pieces have really helped me through the end of my pregnancy while also making me feel pretty. Isn’t that what third trimester maternity style is all about?
I got a hair cut and color last week and at first I hated it (the cut, not really the color), but I think I’m digging it more now. The thing that bothers me is it’s hard to wear straight without the back ends flipping out. I wear my hair wavy/curly most days anyway, so it just needs to grow out a little bit. I hadn’t done anything to my hair since November so I was well overdue. Perfect timing, right before the baby.
Anyway, back to the outfit. This otherwise normal maternity tee has an adorable lace collar cutout, and is a fun way to take any casual look I’m doing and kick it up a notch. Of course I also had to pair it with my layered necklaces. And for more fun, a hot pink lipstick. This one is one of my all-time favorites. I’m wearing this shirt with my “fat” maternity ankle jeans – the ones I bought last pregnancy that got me through the end. Yes, it’s possible to grow out of some of your maternity items. Luckily these still have quite a bit of room in them.
Shirt: ASOS (c/o) | Jeans: Liz Lange Maternity for Target (old) | Sandals: Target (can’t find them online) | Short Necklace: Kendra Scott | Long Necklace: Target | Watch: Michael Kors | Bracelet: Stella & Dot | Lipstick: MAC Candy Yum Yum | Nails: Julep ‘Katie’
Hope you all have a wonderful week! Oh, before I go, I have to mention that BuzzFeed linked to one of my blog posts on Saturday and it completely made my week! I feel like a legit #omgsofamous blogger now! Make sure you check out the post here (I’m number 14)! It really is a great article on “22 Inexpensive Beauty Products That Actually Work.” And you guys know I love cheap, high performing makeup!

Cute shirt! Do I need to place another Asos order now?! LOL
Maternity clothes should come with a tag on them that says “You may outgrow this item near the end of your pregnancy.” Ya know, just to help you get over the shock should that happen….

Haha!!! I meant to reply to your other comment – so sorry that dress didn’t fit!! That stinks!! But yeah, this whole growing out of your maternity clothes thing is no fun. At least I only have 15 days left! Haha

Cute shoes, kid. Also, please tell me you bought that polish just for your BFF. And now go do a cute instagram with your nails and Katie.

Obvi the nails are my favorite part. I also just bought jeans like that this week, not maternity, and not from the Grandma store, from the fat girls store.
Looking good, hot stuff!!

Haha I knew you would like the name of the nail color! I’m surprised you don’t have a pair of awesome grandma jeans!!

Hey there! I just found your blog and wanted to say hi because I’m also from the suburbs of Houston. And my brother is an artistic director at HITS Theatre in the Heights, not sure if you’ve heard of it but since you teach theatre I thought there was a chance!
Anyway you are looking great in your third trimester! Love those layered necklaces.
