Baby Gear Spotlight – Maxi Cosi Maxi Taxi Review

Disclosure: Maxi Cosi provided me with the Mico NXT and a Target gift card to purchase the Maxi Taxi. As always, thoughts and opinions 100% mine. #MaxiCosiTarget #spon

Baby gear is not only overwhelming, but it can get expensive. After having two babies, we have accumulated a ton of baby stuff, and the stroller graveyard in our garage is a bit embarrassing. There are a lot of things that I wish I would have known before buying and accumulating so much gear!

We were sent the Maxi Cosi Mico NXT and it has been Caroline’s infant carrier for the last 6 months. We have been extremely happy with it! It is apparently the lightest infant carrier on the market, and I definitely can agree with that after switching from our previous carrier. I also really like the sleek, simple, black design. It is made in the USA and has a high safety rating, which is probably the most important component! It works for infants 5-22 pounds and 19-29 inches in height. She can probably still use this for another few months, as she is a petite little thing!

We have also been using the Maxi Cosi Maxi Taxi instead of a travel system. I purchased it with my provided gift card at Target.com. It was super easy to order and arrived in less than a week! There were no parts to assemble – it just slid out of the box and then I snapped the wheels and a few extras on.

Let me tell you now that I just do not like bulky strollers. I would rather snap the carseat into something lightweight and call it a day, rather than mess with extra parts and heavy strollers. The Maxi Taxi is the perfect solution to this! The Mico NXT doesn’t fit into traditional snap-in strollers, so this is exactly what I was looking for. I also really like the attached cupholder, big basket space at the bottom, and the little fanny pack thingy you can attach close to the handles.

The Maxi Taxi is great for short walks that Kennedy wants to walk along, too. And of course, she had to be in the pictures. Cute photobomber, so I don’t mind. But what I really enjoy using this for is shopping trips and anytime I need to get the baby in and out of the car quickly without having to take her out of the carseat. If it’s a bigger trip, we will usually take her out and sit her in the shopping cart, but that can sometimes be a bit of a hassle when I have a short errand to run while wrangling two kids. The carseat snaps easily into the Maxi Taxi and is a breeze to fold and unfold.

If you’ve been thinking about getting a Maxi Cosi infant carrier carseat (highly recommend that you do!), you should consider getting the Maxi Cosi Maxi Taxi to go along with it!
