Beach Maternity Shoot

You have no idea how excited I am to share these beautiful maternity photos taken none other than my favorite Kate Carmichael Photography. Being super pregnant I did not want to overheat, so the idea of a beach maternity shoot was perfect. Luckily I did not overheat or melt, thanks to the ocean breeze. Bonus: you don’t have to wear shoes on the beach!

It’s crazy to think I have not had an “official” maternity portrait session until this pregnancy. Sure, we took photos, and had some pretty ones, but nothing like this. I am so happy that I did this, as this is the last baby.

I also think it was a solid choice that I did this session by myself, because there is a lot of moving parts when trying to get the whole family together (coordinating outfits, happy attitudes, etc.) for photos. We’ll cross that bridge in the fall when we take our annual family photos. Shooting alone meant I could have multiple dresses and take our time capturing the perfect shots.

Before we get to all of the amazing beach pregnancy photos, I wanted to share a short video I put together. Kate so graciously captured a few video clips while we were together, and I edited the footage with a little letter to our baby boy. This video means so much to me and I hope you give it a watch!
