I’m a sucker for Maybelline lip products. I love pretty much every lip product they launch. The SuperStay Matte Inks, SuperStay Ink Crayons, and the Lifter Glosses are some holy grail lip products for me.
I was so excited for the launch of the new Maybelline Ultimatte Slim Lipsticks. They deliver a lightweight formula that is a comfortable matte finish. They are non-drying, easy to apply, and in a slim, luxe packaging. They are not marketed to be long-wearing, but we don’t always need every lip product we own to be long wearing.
In today’s post, I am swatching all ten of the shades for you on my lips! I think it’s awesome to see swatches on a person’s face and not just on the arm.
For reference, my skin tone is light with cool undertones. I am MAC NC20, if that gives you any frame of reference. Let’s get to swatching!

All of these photos are lipsticks on a real 37-year-old person with texture and pores. I also may not have applied the lipstick perfectly in some swatches. That’s real life, for you!
More Buff
More Buff is definitely the lightest neutral of the bunch. Definitely an everyday wearable neutral for my skin tone. Something I’d for sure throw in my purse, swipe it on and go!
More Mauve
More Mauve is a cool toned pinky purple. It pulls a little darker on me than I expected. I think if I wanted to lighten it up, I could pair it with a cool toned gloss and it would look great. I do love it alone, though!
More Taupe
More Taupe is one I definitely will rock in fall/winter, or with the right makeup look. I think this is a fabulous neutral shade for deeper skin tones.
More Rust
More Rust is absolutely fabulous! It would look incredible in fall/winter but I definitely could rock this one year round!
More Truffle
Out of all of the shades, More Truffle is probably my least favorite. It’s not because it’s ugly – I do love the shade. I just think it’s one I will rarely reach for, unless I have the right makeup look created. If I created a cool brown smoky eye, I would totally rock it. I do think this will be an incredible shade for deeper skin tones.
More Berry
Oooh, I just love More Berry. The tone is incredible. I just am a sucker for a good berry lip. This will look great on everyone! I do reach for berry tones more in fall/winter, but maybe I’ll make berry a thing in spring, yeah?
More Blush
More Blush is absolutely beautiful! This pinky blush tone is flattering and lovely on many different skin tones. If you’re looking for another fairly neutral one, grab this!
More Magenta
More Magenta is the most beautiful hot pink! Absolutely love it. If you love pinks, you need this one.
More Ruby
More Ruby is a beautiful red! This one has more of a cool tone, with a little bit of pink undertones. Classic and lovely!

More Scarlet
More Scarlet has more of a warm/orange undertone. Absolutely beautiful, as well! I love that this range of shades gives you the option of a warm or cool toned red.
So there you have it! The 10 shades of the Maybelline Color Sensational Ultimatte Slim Lipsticks!
This is a beautiful, comfortable matte formula. I would not call these long-wearing, and they’re not mask-proof, but they are gorgeous nonetheless. They remind me a lot of the BareMinerals BarePro Lipsticks, but not as long wearing.
I highly recommend grabbing one of these!
