Third Trimester Maternity Style – Casual Stripes
Oh, lookie here! It’s something you’ve never really seen from me before. A legit fashion post (ha)! Okay, I’ll admit here that I am shooting these photos myself with a tripod and a remote control outside along the back brick of our house. Mama’s gotta do this during nap time, and Greg is not exactly someone I’d describe as a gifted photographer.
Anyway, ASOS graciously sent me some beautiful maternity clothes to get me through the last month or so of my pregnancy. I’ve decided I would have some fun with it and come up with a few third trimester maternity style posts. I’m definitely no seasoned fashionista, but I do love fashion and having fun with my clothes. I’m at the stage where nothing is fitting quite right and it’s really hot outside. Feeling comfortable, yet still put together, is a priority for me. Most days you’ll catch me in yoga pants I bought two sizes up, sports bras, and long tank tops. But if we’ve got somewhere to go, if I’m meeting friends, or going out to eat, I’ll step it up a notch.
Maternity Split Shoulder Tee (c/o ASOS) // Maternity Denim Shorts (Target) // Converse Chuck Taylors // Shorter Necklace (Old Navy, very old) // Long Necklace (Target) // Watch (Michael Kors) // Bracelet (Ebay)
For me, I really like this look because we’re taking a basic look of striped shirt, shorts, and sneakers and giving it a twist. The shirt is a basic staple but with fun and unexpected split shoulders (I’m wearing them up today). I also have had a lot of fun layering long and short necklaces to give extra interest. When your fashion choices are pretty limited and you can’t fit in most of your closet, you experiment with accessories. Like I said, no fashion expert here, but it makes me feel good and it’s comfortable.
Mamas, what fashion pieces got you through your third trimester?
So cute meg!
Thank you so much, friend! Hope you’re having a blast at your bach bash!!
You are so pretty!!! Love this on you!
Thank you so much!! xoxo
I’m thinking I have those same shorts that are getting me through!!! What I really need are some more maxi skirts to carry me through.
You know, I don’t own any maxi skirts!! I feel they look weird on me for some reason. They seem so comfy, though!
So cute!!
Thank you!! xoxo
You look amazing for being in the 3rd Trimester! Great comfy and casual outfit!
