No Heat Curls… with TUBE SOCKS?!

I’ve felt like I’ve been in a hairstyle rut lately. I wear my hair curly/wavy almost every single day, and the ends of my hair are starting to become a little frazzled. I really needed some more ideas to get some waves with less heat. So, I turned to my good friend, Pinterest, for some inspiration. I saw this pin and immediately thought “what the heyyyyyy?!” I absolutely had to try it.

No heat curls… with three tube socks?! I’ve tried a ton of no heat curl tutorials, but have never seen anything like this. It totally makes sense, though, because I used to curl my hair with pieces of rags. A lot of no heat curls end up looking way too kinky for me, so this intrigued me because it looked like big waves in the pictures on that blog post.

I filmed the process so you guys can see how it turned out. I didn’t leave them in overnight. I left the socks in about 5 hours or so, and I felt like it was a good amount of time. Let’s see how this turned out! The video is under 2 minutes and can totally be watched without the sound on.

I definitely think if you have long and/or super thick hair, you may need to use more than 3 tube socks to get your desired look. I really like how the curls turned out. They were loose, big and voluminous. I think if I would have left it in overnight, they would be a little less wavy, but I don’t think the curls would be too tight.

What do you guys think? You going to try it?

Genius and easy way to get loose, voluminous curls! No heat curls with tube socks! This worked in only 5 hours for me!
